I find this time-consuming and frustrating to have to carefully pull the strands apart. From your pictures, it doesn't look like you are using that. Any tips would be appreciated.littleflowerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09733055211478084196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4460220730872660061.post-52539147824528754992009-12-31T11:54:48.070+08:002009-12-31T11:54:48.070+08:00your tips are very useful. thank you.

I've not used a fabric stabilizer before so i cant comment on that. The felt i use shrink about 10% after wash usually, so i'd suggest you wash the felt first before working on it to prevent them going out of shape.Jeanette Linhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00860502728223618736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4460220730872660061.post-48486147335266123202009-11-19T04:51:36.793+08:002009-11-19T04:51:36.793+08:00Hi! I have never done much hand sewing, but I would like to give it a try. To get the hand of it, I would love to hand applique some different shapes/designs to my childrens' clothing. Having searched the internet for info, I haven't found much. Would you recommend the acryllic or wool blend? Would a fabric stabilizer help to keep the shrinkage of wool in check? How would you recommend washing wool blend appliqued to clothing? Thanks!Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18046922492722835538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4460220730872660061.post-48695354052838455322009-06-26T00:42:23.431+08:002009-06-26T00:42:23.431+08:00Wow, so many great ideas and how-to's here, I ...Wow, so many great ideas and how-to's here, I love it!
